Manifest for Odense Kunsthal

Odense Kunsthal er et kunstværk.
Vi bruger formatet kunsthal. Kunsthallen åbner d. 25 marts 2010.
Alle elementer som er med i planlægningen og udførelsen, er en del af værket.
Vi er tolv 1års studerende fra det Fynske Kunstakademi der udfører projektet som et fællesværk. Projektet er på egent initiativ. Vi arbejder demokratisk.
Odense Kunsthal undersøger kunst hierarkiet.
Odense Kunsthal er et eksperiment.
Vi benytter os af medier og sponsorer. Projektet er non profit.
Vi har hver især inviteret etablerede kunstnere til at deltage i udstillingen.
Vi er ikke smagsdommere for hinandens valg.
Kunstnerne bestemmer selv hvad de vil bidrage med, og om de vil forholde sig til projektet Odense Kunsthal i deres værker. Vi accepterer alt hvad der er praktisk muligt.
Definition på etablerede kunstnere: Kunstnere der er så tilpas etablerede at der er en tydelig distance fra vores placering i hierarkiet til deres placering i hierarkiet.
Udstillingen åbner uanset om de inviterede kunstnere udstiller eller ej.




Odense Kunsthal is a work of art.
We use the format "kunsthal" (contemporary art center). The art center will open the 25 of march.
All the elements that are included in the organisation and realisation of the project are a part of the artwork.
We are twelve first year students from the funen art academy. We are making this project as a group work.
The project is made on our own initiative. We work democratically.
Odense Kunsthal challenges/questions the hierarchy in the art scene. Odense Kunsthal is an experiment.
We use the medias and sponsors. The project is non - profit.
Each of us has chosen established artist to participate at the exhibition. We do not judge each others choices on that regard. The artists decide by themselves what they want to participate with. It's their own decision if they want to relate to the concept Odense Kunsthal in their work. We accept all what is practically possible.
Definition of an established artist: An artist is esta the distance between that the artist and us in the hierarchy to be obvious.
The exhibition will open weather the invited artists accept to participate or not.
